A Relaxing Environment

The Phoenix Retreat in the village of Abercraf is a hidden gem in the Valley, which has gone through a physical and spiritual re-birth. Whilst continuing to provide hospitality service – The Phoenix Retreat has launched its new phase and ethos of being committed to self-sustainability and promoting personal growth and healing on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level in accordance with harmonising with Nature – whilst living in the modern world.

The Phoenix Retreat is a unique venue, which has seen its whole internal face transformed with natural paints and fabric, wood floors and natural rugs. There is a whole new conference/seminar room with a beautiful mural depicting the harmony of the creatures of the world, Mother Nature and God, all painted with natural pigment paints, with pure gold, silver and copper leaf. It seats 40 people comfortably.  The relaxation and meditation room seats 20 people comfortably and is at the quiet end of the main house to provide privacy for group meetings or discussions.

Vegetarian & Living Foods

 

The Phoenix Retreat restaurant is a relaxing environment to enjoy the great organic vegetarian and vegan meals we provide. Decorated in natural paint, featuring original pictures of local scenes, filled with the gentle sound of running water and relaxing music, the restaurant which overlooks part of the garden, is temporarily in our light-filled conservatory.

Our breakfast is a rich varied  healthy selection ; we have a range of fresh fruit, organic dried fruits, mixed nuts, organic deluxe muesli, wheat free cereal, organic juices, pro-biotic yoghurt drinks. Tea, coffee, herbal and fruit teas are available. Toast and a vegetarian grill (mushrooms, tomatoes, vegetarian sausages, hash browns and baked beans) are also available.

Dining

All guests have access to the leisure suite, a lovely wooden cabin in the hotel grounds, which contains a Jacuzzi, sauna, steam cabinet, an inverse table, pilates exercise equipment, as well as a changing room toilet and shower.

Bedrooms

All the rooms in the hotel have been completely refurbished with natural paints and oak flooring, which results in a calming and natural environment. All rooms are en suite with a bath and shower and will soon have all vegan toiletries.

All rooms have tv, drink making facilities (including herbal teas), hairdryer and trouser press . In the hotel, some rooms have valley views and some have garden views. We also have 4 standard rooms in a building opposite the hotel, which are currently being repainted to the same standard as the main hotel. We have 9 standard rooms, double and twin and one large family room, all of which are ensuite.
 

We have 2 four-poster deluxe bedrooms, both with balconies, 1 deluxe with a Jacuzzi bath.    Prices for all rooms include full hot vegetarian/ vegan breakfast with fresh juice, fruits, salads etc. and  access to our  leisure cabin.
